Season’s Summary

Dexter is back again with season full of action. The season opens with episode “Our Father” on September 28, 2008. Jimmy Smits plays a special guest role as assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado in the first episode. He was looking for the killer of his brother, who was actually killed by Dexter while chasing a murderous drug dealer named Freebo. In the second episode “Finding Freebo” Dexter’s search for Freebo was on. Later Prado witnessed Dexter with the weapon that killed Freebo, and he hugged him and said thanks that he killed his brother’s killer. Rita disclosed that she’s pregnant and told Dextre that she would keep the child with or without his support. In episode “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” Miguel and Dexter learnt that the body found in grocery store wasn’t Freebo’s attempt and they have to convince the homicide squad regarding this. In episode “All in the Family”, after a failed marriage proposal, Dexter tried to convince Rita that he wanted more than a financial merger and fatherhood in his life and he wanted a family with Rita.

Next episode of season was entitled ‘Turning Biminese’ Here, we saw that Miguel told Dexter about a husband who had killed his two wives in order to have some financial gain and asked him to find out the culprit. On the other hand, Rita convinced Dexter to move in with her and kids before getting married and Dexter was seen struggling to find out what should he do. Following it was the episode entitled ‘Si Se Puede’ in which Dexter put Miguel to test. Dexter was surprised to know that Miguel, his newfound friend, had a courageous strategy to complete Dexter’s plan. It was also the time for Rita to reconsider her choices and decisions after she got fired from her job. Meanwhile, Debra was seen trying to solve her current case. Next to it was the episode entitled ‘Easy As Pie’ in which Miguel found a new target for Dexter and offered him a new potential victim. Dexter refused and it angered Miguel. Camilla, an old ill friend of Dexter asked him to end her life. Rita discovered that Sylvia was of thinking that her husband Miguel was having an affair. Next episode in row was entitled ‘The Damage A Man Can Do’. In this episode, we saw that Dexter and Miguel relationship faced a new change. Miguel brought another project for Dexter and Dexter realized that he must teach the code to Miguel as it’d help in his own safety as well. As they both went through the process, Dexter enjoyed sharing his private world with Miguel. As Rita was pregnant so was seen facing several mood swings and losing control over her own feelings. Debra was working hard and came to know a new secret about her boyfriend Anton. Then came the episode ‘About Last Night’ in which Dexter feared that Miguel had strayed away from the newly taught code. And, he thought that he might had mistaken while teaching the code to him. On the other hand, Debra came to know that Anton had been abducted by the Skinner. Rita faced Miguel about his alleged infidelity. Next in row was the episode entitled ‘Go Your Own Way’. In this episode, we saw Dexter and Miguel trying a game of manipulation. Miguel’s wedding gift left Rita stunned and surprised and Dexter worried. Debra had second thoughts on her relationship with Anton. Meanwhile, Miguel contacted The Skinner. In the next episode ‘I Had A Dream’, we saw that Dexter was very serious to get Miguel out of his life for good while preparing for his wedding day. But all that seemed very tough when Miguel was supposed to be the best man. Rita dealt with her own issues. A new found clue helped Debra to catch the Skinner. Then was the episode entitled ‘Do You Take Dexter Morgan?’ We saw that Dexter’s interest shifted to his emotionally unstable brother Ramon as Miguel was killed by him. After settling Roman, Dexter felt that it’s the time to relax and breathe easy. But, his always not-so-easy life took another drastic turn. A day before his wedding Dexter fell in trap laid by Skinner but in the end killed him but got his hand broken. Batista informed Debra that she’d receive her detective’s shield.

Season’s Top Ranked Episode ‘Go Your Own Way’

Dexter and Miguel tried a game of manipulation. Rita was left stunned and surprised with Miguel’s wedding gift. Dexter was worried to see all that. Debra decided to think once again about her relationship with Anton. Meanwhile, Miguel contacted the Skinner to take out Dexter. People liked this episode very much and it was the one which was ranked as the highest one among the whole season.
