Episode 3: An Inconvenient Lie
Rita wants commitment from Dexter’s side to take refuge in a de-addiction program to cope up with his addiction issues. A refusal from Dexter would mean Rita’s vacating of their house. Dexter initiates the process by being regularly present at Narcotics Anonymous meetings. However, he still tries to escape Doakes’ constant monitoring of his day-to-day activities. While attending a meeting Dexter meets an unknown woman named Lila who has a flirty attitude. She is willing to be Dexter’s sponsor. Afterwards, Dexter kills a man named Roger Hicks who was a used car salesman by profession. Roger was involved in cold-blooded murders of numerous stunning brunettes. Lundy secures Debra’s help to assist the task force in investigating the “Bay Harbor Butcher” case. This proves as a blessing in disguise as they are able to relate the murders to a well-defined pattern.
