Dexter was called in to investigate the case and looking into the matter led him to Dr. Emmett Meridian, the psychiatrist of the woman. Dexter became suspicious of him and decided to visit. Visiting the suspect revealed some hidden truths from Dexter’s past. Paul, who claimed that he had changed, managed to get the affections of Rita. She also had wishes to take her and Dexter’s relationship to the next step which Dexter might not be ready for. On the other hand, Debra was continuously getting closer to her new boy friend. Was he the Ice Truck Killer?
