In this episode of the season, Doakes and LaGuerta became suspicious about Rudy being the Ice Truck Killer. On the other hand, we saw Dexter got closer to solving the mystery shrouding the death of his mother as he found out the picture of the concerned shipping container. Rita also became distrustful towards Dexter and his somehow bizarre behavior, thanks to a call from Paul, her ex-husband. A very big mystery got solved as Dexter came to know about the identity of Rudy, the alleged Ice Truck Killer. He was actually Brian Moser, the biological brother of Dexter who had spent his growing years at a mental institution, away from Dexter. Brian had plans to murder Debra but Dexter prevented him from doing so. Brian managed to run away before the police came, leaving Dexter and Debra behind. It was not all as Brian got into Dexter’s apartment and tried to inflict a stab wound on Debra. Nothing went as per his plans and Dexter captured him. An emotional dialogue preceded Dexter slitting Brian’s throat and leaving him upside down to drain, making it appear as a suicide. The case of the Ice Truck Killer came to an end with Dexter wondering what would happen if everyone came to know the truth about him.
