Michael C. Hall is an American actor and has received Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for his superb acting skills. He took birth in Raleigh, North Carolina. His dad died of cancer when he was eleven years old.
Michael attended Ravenscroft School and graduated in 1989. In 1993, he graduated from Earlham College in Richmond Indiana. He next attended New York University’s Master of Fine Arts program.
It was 1999 when he was cast in the revival of ‘Cabaret’ by director Sam Mendes. He has also directed a movie named ‘American Beauty’. Michael’s appearance on ‘Six Feet Under’ led him for a nomination for an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2002 and an AFI Award nomination for the Actor of the Year in 2002.
During 2003, he toured with the musical ‘Chicago’ as Billy Flynn. In the very same year, he was seen on the thriller ‘Paycheck’ and TV movie ‘Bereft’. He returned to Off Broadway theatre in 2005 in the premiere of ‘Mr. Marmalade’, playing the character of an emotionally disturbed girl’s imaginary friend.
Michael married Amy Spanger, an actress in 2002. In 2006, they filed for divorce. Michael is also rumored to have an affair with his Dexter co-star, Jennifer Carpenter. Michael began his acting career from theatre. At the New York Shakespeare Festival, he made an appearance in ‘Timon of Athens’ and Henry V’. He also played on the controversial play ‘Corpus Christi’ at Manhattan Theatre Club. While in Los Angeles, he appeared in Skylight at the Mark Taper Forum.

As of now, Michael C. Hall is appearing on ‘Dexter‘ as Dexter Morgan. He’s the main character of the show. He’s basically a Miami police blood spatter expert who moonlights as a vigilante serial killer. We see him killing the killers who’ve somehow managed to escape the legal system.
