James Remar, a very popular American actor is also known as William James Remar. The man has appeared on more than 98 different media projects and among his most popular roles are as Richard on ‘Sex and the City’ and on a comedy ’48 Hrs’. The man has a very intimidating personality and it was the reason he played the character of villain in most of his projects.
In the 1979 cult film ‘The Warriors’, James portrayed the character of aggressively sexy and violent Ajax. In the 1982 hit ’48 Hrs’, he appeared as the murdering sociopath Albert Ganz. In the 1984 movie ‘The Cotton Club’, James was seen portraying real life 30s era gangster Dutch Schultz. In the 1980 film ‘Windwalker’, he appeared as the young Windwalker. During 1996, James made an appearance on Paramount’s big budget action movie ‘The Phantom’.
His other notable appearances are on ‘Drugstore Cowboy’, ‘Fear X’, ‘Boys on the Side’, ‘Hellraiser: Inferno’, ‘The Quest’, ‘Wedlock’, ‘Tales from the Darkside: The Movie’, ‘Blade: Trinity’, ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’, ‘The Girl Next Door’. For his excellent performance on ‘Dexter’, he has been nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor. He made guest appearance on ‘Jericho’. James Remar is married and has two children.
